This pool enclosure, located near Blakely, Georgia, is essentially an "L" shaped mansard hip variation. At All Custom Aluminum, we pride ourselves on our ability to design a structure that will be both strong and aesthetically pleasing.

In this case we resolved the design challenges of the "L" shaped footprint by designing an engineered carrier beam which facilitated the retention of the mansard shape around the inside corner without any loss of volume, such as would occur with the inclusion of lower flat areas, etc. The resulting profile is the same from any elevation view and thus provides a measure of symmetry to the job as a whole.

The bronze framing, as can be seen from the photographs, tends to blend in with the screening to hide the structure. Of course a large structure can not really "hide" completely, but a bronze frame will look less obtrusive from both inside looking out and outside looking in. Whereas the white framing tends to stand apart from the charcoal screening and thus will be more visible from both directions of view.

The one thing to consider when choosing the bronze framing is that it tends to clash with certain tones, such as some greys. But regardless, either finish is a very hardy electrostatically applied coating that will stand the test of time.

Shingled Screen Room Built with Composite Alumium Roof System

All Custom aluminum has just finished a solid roof screened room which incorporated an overlayment of osb and the application of shigles to produce a seamless look, while still taking advantage of all the benefits of building with aluminum. We wanted to enclose the space while maintaining an aesthetic appeal consistent with the home, and are pleased to have done both at a reasonable price, in only a few days. The secret is in our composite aluminum roof system, which incorporates all the elements of a house's ceiling, attic and roof into one, energy efficient, load bearing composite.

Built in a neighborhood known for its historic homes and quaint bugelows, this addition needed to conform to the existing architecture and blend in rather than stand out. In that regard, we mirrored the upper gable of the home with our gable projection, matching the pitch. Next we installed the aluminum framework and composite aluminum roof system. Our internally fabricated aluminum components allow for spans not typically seen with wood construction. And our components hold screen tight for years.

The shingles are set in the traditional nail down fashion, and serve to suppliment the finished impervious composite panels with even more redundant layers of waterfast protection. As importantly, shingling the roof provides that final touch that pulls together all the elements of construction into one synergistic whole. We use drip edge and provide 6" gutters on all our shingled additions, to provide a completely traditional look. No one has to know you used environmentally friendly, Energy Star rated green building materials, unless you want them to.

Custom Pool Enclosure

All Custom Aluminum is proud of our latest custom enclosure in the upscale Bobbin Brook subdivision of Tallahassee, FL. Even more so because of the challenging nature of the footprint, and the large size of the span. This bronze mansard style pool enclosure is a good example of what we term a "wrap around" style mansard roof system. We call it that because, by careful design and engineering, All Custom is able to produce a raised screen roof system which contours to fit oddly shaped slabs, in this case an "L" shaped design.

This project called for 2 by 10 inch extruded beams because of the span (over 46 feet at the long span). Although there were areas which would have met code with smaller dimension beams, we opted to expend the extra expense, time, and effort to keep all the beams at the 10 inch size for consistency. This way, even though the job is overbuilt in terms of strength, it maintains a uniform beam dimension throughout. Its just another example of how All Custom Aluminum goes the extra mile for our customers.

When it rains it pours, and the challenges of this job didn't stop with the wrapping mansard design and the outsize beams. All Custom constructed a series of transome screen walls on the house side of the structure to notch around multiple projections. And we worked around landscaping planters, lattice brick walls, and a multilevel spa. All in all, not the simplest enclosure. But one we are proud of. And for us, being able to walk away from each job with pride is what keeps us motivated.

Glass enclosures

All Custom Aluminum recently completed this insulated glass patio enclosure utilizing insulated horizontal glass windows, insulated fixed pane tempered glass inserts, and insulated Glass doors. We utilized structural aluminum posts and fabricated aluminum framing to create an open, appealing look which puts the focus on the beautiful landscaping in the back yard. Best of all, the entire project involved only three days of site work.

We cutom configured the openings and sizes of the windows based on the customer's needs and wishes.
