How much do pool enclosures cost?

The answer depends mostly on the overall square footage of the project.  On balance, a pool enclosure with more square footage is pricier than one with less.

The next most important factor is complexity.  Pool enclosure designs work best when they are rectangular, or some combination of rectangles.  There are exceptions, but you should keep this in mind when deciding where to place your pool against the home, and what shape to make your deck.Keep the deck square.  Angles and curves complicate the installation of an enclosure, unless they are contained inside a perimeter footing.  Have your pool contractor be sure to be extra meticulous about the relationship between the pool and the house in terms of parallel and perpendicular lines.

Where you live can also effect pricing, since area with greater wind, snow, or ice loads will require a more robust structure.  Check with your local building official for your specific requirements.

That being said, pool enclosures typically start out at around $8000.00, for a typical pool on the smaller side.  This would be for all screen aluminum enclosures.  We have done solid pool enclosures starting at around $30,000.00.
